Liberal Senator Bill "Misogynist" Heffernan!
From today's SMH:
Renegade Liberal Senator Bill Heffernan has apologised to Julia Gillard for comments he made questioning her leadership credentials because she was "deliberately barren''.
"One of the great understandings in a community is family and the relationship between mum, dads and a bucket of nappies.''
Senior Liberals, including the prime minister and treasurer, distanced themselves from the comments but would not go so far as to say the maverick should apologise.
arrrgh. and arrrrrgh. thanks to Coopes' excellent blog, i have spent the day going aaaaarrrrgh and wondering why more Liberal senators aren't assassinated.
