This weekend I will:
* go for after work drinks at Annies, a cool little backpackers with a bar with fairy lights and decent $5 lasagne
* find a bed (finger's crossed. i do enjoy my swag, but i think my housemates are getting a bit nervous that i might up and run away at any moment)
* find a desk
* go to the Vietnamese Market Gardens (this is a house ritual - every satdy morning we drive out towards the airport, turn left, turn left, turn right and drive into the Nguyen's farm to buy bags and bags of fresh veggies. They grow a lot of asian veggies but also get cheap fruit from Adelaide)
* buy the Herald for $4.95, but only after 2pm, and only if they happen to have brought some on the plane that day
* go to a surprise birthday party on Saturday afternoon
* hopefully not tell the birthday girl about the surprise part on Saturday afternoon
* overheat, and also get very cold. Autumn has arrived!
* go to see Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentleman. They're a band. They're the only band on this week, so I am going
* play with my computer
* write words
* lose soccer, and love it
* ride my bike places
* chill in the arvo sun with mates
* watch Bastard Boys
This weekend I will not:
* meet old friends at a favourite bar or cafe
* go to markets
* see any family members
* see the ocean
* see a band I love (or have heard of...)
* see any clothes I want to buy
* pay more than $4 for a taxi, anywhere.

$4.95 for the herald?! actually, not bad considering i paid $12 for the australian in grenada.
More things you probably won't do:
*Drive a little red car onto a library lawn
*Go to Mardi Gras and pash a chick
*Wake up in a gay mans bed after dancing all night to The Kinks and The Killers and Gangsters Paradise
*Do the dancemoves to Blink 182 with your favourite FH
BUT PERHAPS IN MERELY A FEW WEEKS WE CAN PARTY WITH BIG E LIKE IT'S 1999!
Alice! Alice! Where the f**k is Alice?!
Woah Nelly!
