Goreme!!!

From the Med coast to the centre of Turkey, Cappadoccia. I stayed in Goreme. In fact i stayed in the exact room (a dorm in a cave) in the exact hostel as chris and mon et al. it was great! Except that i couldnt see a thing when i got there at 5am and was sooooo confused when i woke up and found myself in a cave with 11 beds nearby.

This part of Turkey is so bizarre, and so beautiful. Many many years ago (someone cant remember their history lesson from a month ago) the Christians lived here in these tiny little 'Fairy Chimney' houses in old volcanic formations. Some poeple still live in them, or at least build their homes into the rock.
