Chris (Brennan, not Whitnal) came and visited Dublin! He's living near Glasgow these days so it wasn't like he popped over from Roseville. The wather was actually nice, so we did some things. One of them was to go to Dalkey, a village south of Dublin on the coast. We walked aorund for a few hours and got lost. We saw 'Millionaire's Row', this row of houses with the most amazing view. Enya, The Edge and i think Maeve Binchy (or insert another famous Irish person here) all own a house in this row. None too shabby.

When the weather is nice, Ireland can be so beautiful! When the weather is bad, i.e. most of the time, it's more...grim. and grey. But aww isnt this nice.ROADTRIP!
Did a road trip, ended up in Galway again! Love that city. Had a great night out. Got a message at 10:30 the next day from my boss in Dublin saying 'Sarah. It's Bert. Where the hell are you. You were meant to start at 10.'. He's an idiot and it was totally his fault.
Anyway, this time we headed to the Connemara first, a beautiful stark area on the west coast. It's a Gaeltacht area, meaning the main language is Gaelic. It kind of sounds like German or Swedish but with more Phlegm.
Chris drove the whole time.
Dammit! We just missed it!
We climbed a mountain called Ben Lettery. The view was amazing til we got above the clouds.
Drowned rats, anyone? Got pretty wet up there.
Found the remains of an old house, which was abandoned by its inhabitants during the Potato Famine. They fled, and ended up emigrating to New York and started a very entreprenuerial business selling ring tones. Unfortunately they were way ahead of their time and never made any money. But at least they were better off there and got some good grub.
