My hostel in 'The Plateau' - one of the coolest areas. A very cool hostel, though as i said before, pretty much a glorified apartment with a whole lotta beds and doonas everywhere! Good vibe though, and great breakfasts.
IT IS SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am cold but giggling like a madwoman.

So my excellent hiking boots decided to give me a horrific cramp for now apparent reason on my second day in Montreal.....i literally could not wear one on my left foot it was so excruciating. So my only other option was thongs with socks! haha. I got the funniest looks from everyone on the street. Not just amused expressions, or ones that said "gee you must be cold" - no, people were genuinely horrified. But i wasn't cold...oddly.
On my second night in Montreal I went to a party at my friend Gillian's house! RANDOM! for those how dont know (which, frankly, is probably all but 2 of you) Gillian was one of my besties at primary school...and i see her every few years but had no idea what she was up to til last week when my mum emailed me to say she ran into Gill's mum and turns out she is in Montreal right now! So i emailed her and lo and behold she;s been here studying, with her boy Dave, for 4 months and they were having a farewell parte on Tuesday. So i went. it was excellent. Then i walked home at 2am in the beautiful light snow. Montreal rulz ok?
