Whoa Nanna!!
The latest call is 'Whoa Nanna', to be used whenever you see a really old woman doing something weird or funny in Laos. This happens a lot. Whether it be carrying giant poles with concrete bases through the night markets and taking out assorted ropes holding up other peoples' stalls, or carrying three times their body weight in logs and drying grass down the national highway, or sitting out the front of the family guesthouse hitting your head and laughing at Monique...Whoa Nannas are EVERYWHERE! The first here is a Hmong woman (northern Laos and Vietnamese Hill Tribes) trying to get served at the cash exchange. The second is of two Nannas who crossed the main road without any care for the traffic about to take them both out. I loved the fake LV bag the one on the right has!
