They said NO!
From today's ABC Online:
Northern Territory Housing Minister Elliott McAdam will meet Alice Springs' town camp presidents today in a bid to convince them to overturn a decision to reject federal funding.
Last Friday, the camps rejected $60 million in infrastructure upgrades because they were not prepared to accept the funding's condition that they transfer management of their housing to the Northern Territory Housing Department.
A Tangentyere Council spokesman says camps are willing to reconsider their decision if the Government amends its offer.
The Commonwealth has given the NT Government until Wednesday to try and change the minds of town camp presidents.
