Some Nature
After Kathmandu we stayed right on the edge of Chitwan National Park in southern Nepal. The first piccie here is my view of wild Rhinos from atop a fat elephant who went very very slowly and ate about 5 times as much as any of the other elephants. Was slightly scared at first when, 5 mins into the 3 hour jungle elephant trek, a wild elephant started roaring (hmm is that the right word?) from somewhere to our right...thoughts of how we would fare if the wild elephant decided to "ahem" have his way with our female stead filled our heads but we soon calmed down and enjoyed seeing monkeys and rhinos and crocodile and all sorts of birds in the wild.

And keeping with the theme: just a few days ago in India we visited a bird sanctuary (Keolodeo or something?) which was really beautiful except that the major animals spotted were green pigeons, grey pheasant, magpies (tho theirs are tiny and cute and dont swoop) and the omnipresent Indian cows. We were very lucky to see so many rare species in one day. It was nice to see the cows on grass rather than the roads though.
